'Electronic Music in the Classroom' will be available early, from BandCamp.

As a 'blog exclusive', those who want to be early adopters of the Cafe Kaput label will be able to buy 'Electronic Music in the Classroom' a from BandCamp, from this coming Friday (3rd September). That's a couple days before the official release date (Monday 6th). I'm doing this as a special for those who follow the blog in some way, or follow the label on Twitter.

As someone who has bought from BandCamp before, I recommend it as it's very straightforward (or at least, that was my experience recently).

iTunes and Amazon links will follow on Monday 6th.

  1. Cool - that might be a good download sellar for me to try. The other downloads I have came free with vinyls so I'm not an expert on who the best are :)

  2. I've found BandCamp to be decent enough, as well as iTunes (I have an account with them, too). So, out of the three vendors I'm using for Cafe Kaput, the only service I've not used is Amazon (although I use them all the time for other stuff).

One big difference from the label point of view is that BandCamp don't take a hefty 40% of the revenue from sales. More of the proceeds can be invested back into the label.

  7. ha ha! such as the wonders modern technology Jon. I remember back when texts first came out, you couldnt tell if someone was cross, joking or patronizing and it would cause no end of paranoia and upsetment. I have to say.. i am a bit of a joker... so bear with me.. erm.. i take my lead from such greats as erm... well, python, r&m, m&w, bill bailey, the lovely mr serafinowicz... Tom Baker (wait...is he a comedian?) Oh! And a bit of Frankie Howerd! Now i dare you to find some classic Howerd tracks and play them on the Kaput podcast! ;) Alas comedy isnt my forte.. more the music stuff.. I've rambled.

  8. The text age. I remember it well. It's all good, Kev. Everyone can be themselves on my blog.

Anyway, Tom Baker... definitely an inadvertent comedian, he has classic comedy timing.

All you need to say is 'Comedy isn't a state of mind, it's a fact of life' ;))
